News from Mary JeanneIn the midst of a pandemic we are still social beings. What do we crave the minute we are told we can’t have it? Human connection, of course. Even those of us who are introverts miss getting out with friends, stopping by the neighbor’s house so our dogs can say hello and meeting colleagues for lunch to catch up. So exactly how do we maintain the connections we are going to need when it is time to go back to work and we have no job? Here are a few ideas:
- Stay visible, in a good way.
- Send two or three personal emails to friends, business associates and colleagues every day.
- Handwrite a note or send a "thinking of you" greeting card through the US mail.
- Make someone's day by writing them a recommendation on LinkedIn.
More suggestions here.
- Still feeling alone, isolated and uninspired? The six-week Career Talk Group Coaching program is the perfect way to reduce isolation and build community with like-minded professionals. It is great as a stand-alone or combined with a one-on-one coaching program.

I attended Mary Jeanne's Negotiation Workshop recently and found it to be incredibly empowering. She shared many important guidelines to use in negotiation and provided small groups exercises and the opportunity to test them. I walked away with knowledge and experience. This is a must and is highly recommended for all women!
Mary Jeanne's Female-Friendly Salary Negotiation workshop came at just the right time for me to confidently enter into contract negotiations with two consulting clients. The group of 10-12 participants provided ample opportunity to absorb a lot of information during the morning session. And the role-play activities, with feedback from our peers, provided the perfect "dress rehearsal". When contracts were signed, I'd bumped my rate by nearly 40%.
Hi Mary Jeanne, I just wanted to let you know that your negotiating workshop made a huge impact on the way I think about the money that I deserve as it relates to my job. It gave me the confidence to go for what I knew was right versus succumbing to what a large corporation said they would pay me, which was far less. I directly applied the negotiating strategies that you taught me and today closed a building lease that netted me $331,423 more in the next ten years than I would have made if I hadn't gone to your seminar I am so happy that I happened to make the call to see you, meet with you, go to your seminar, and then immediately apply the principles in a real life situation and get amazing results.
